Christmas Day!

This year, Christmas was spent with the entire Schlatter side of Greg's family. This year was a special one as it was our nephew's first Christmas. We spent the day opening & playing with gifts, eating, sleeping, eating, & visiting with family. Elijah was definately spoiled with gifts & although it wasn't surprising, enjoyed the boxes & ribbons more than the gifts. We had an awesome Christmas dinner of barbecued steak & shrimp. Although we didn't wake up to a white Christmas, we were welcomed with a gorgeous snowfall in the evening that continued on until Wednesday afternoon. Hope everyone else had as an enjoyable Christmas as us. We definately feel blessed to have what we have.

Ski Weekend

This weekend a friend & her boyfriend drove over from Seattle for some skiing. We headed up to Silver Mountain for the day & although the runs were limited due to the snow we still had a ton of fun. We even went tubing at the tube park & ended up crashing through the fence at the end resulting in the tube park getting shut down! On Sunday we went sightseeing in downtown Spokane & went walking through Riverfront Park in the snow. We all had a great time.

SNOW!!!

Last night we had our first snowfall of the season. Winter is definately here now & that means one thing. We will be hitting the slopes very soon. Our house is looking very festive with our driveway outlined in lights & our Christmas tree framed in the front window. This morning Pepper & I had fun playing in the snow in the front yard. Well, he played while I shoveled the driveway. Check out these pictures of the snow & some random ones of the 3 of us.

Thanksgiving 2007

This year Thanksgiving celebrations were at our house. We definitely had a full house. My parents & Patrick came, my Aunt Missy drove up from the Tri-Cities, my grandparents came, & Greg's parents showed up for dessert. Along with my parents came their dog Cooper. It was fun entertaining all those people & I think everyone had a good time. There was lots of good food including a baked turkey & a deep fried turkey along with all the things that go along with a thanksgiving turkey dinner. After dinner some went for a walk while others stayed behind & mapped out the Friday morning sales.

Greetings from Spokane!!

Apparently when you click on the icon "delete blog" it deletes the entire site & not just the last entry. So, all my past entries are now history. Oh well. We are finally settled in our home in Spokane. Due to some scheduling problems, we spent a week without any of our things. Once our moving truck finally showed up, it took about a week to get the main living areas unpacked & settled. The rest can wait until there is more time (& energy). The night before our things arrived we had our parents & my grandparents over for dinner which was provided by my parents. We sat in the living room in camping chairs & ate homemade soup. It was a lot of fun. Greg had to go back to work right away but I had a week off. It didn't seem like enough. Last week I started my new job & had a week long orientation. I started in my dept on ICU yesterday. OH MY!! What a difference from a med surg unit in a small hospital. It was all very overwhelming but what new job isn't. Enjoy these pics of the new house.
